Bodykit
Assembly.

Structural panel installation protocol for all GRAFT armor kits. Read in full before beginning. All panels are snap-fit — no tools required for assembly.

1.0 // Abstract

Structural armor panels are precision-engineered to zero-interference tolerances. Incorrect installation sequence or forced fitting will result in panel stress fractures, mounting clip failure, and ROM restriction. This protocol must be followed in full before operating the host platform in any bodykit configuration.

01

Unbox & Inventory

Unpack all panels onto a clean flat surface. No tools required — all panels are snap-fit. Cross-reference each component against the included panel sequence sheet. Every kit ships with numbered mounting points — do not begin installation if any component is missing. Contact support before proceeding.

02

Mounting Point Decontamination

Wipe all host frame mounting points with IPA 99% on a lint-free cloth. Remove any dust, lubricant residue, or surface particles. Allow full evaporation (approximately 60 seconds) before touching mounting surfaces. Contamination will prevent clip engagement and cause panel rattle under operation.

03

Dry Fit — No Force

Before committing to any panel, dry-fit it against the mounting points without engaging the clips. Confirm the panel sits flush with zero gap at all edges. If resistance is felt before the clip engages, stop. Do not force. Check alignment and reposition. Panels are designed to self-locate — forcing indicates misalignment.

04

Installation Sequence — Torso First

Begin with the torso core panels, then proceed outward: upper limbs, lower limbs, then extremities. This sequence ensures each outboard panel correctly overlaps the inboard panel edge. Reversing the sequence will cause visible seam gaps and joint interference.

05

ROM Clearance Check

With all panels installed, run the host platform through its full range of motion — all joints, all axes, at full articulation speed. Confirm zero contact between panels and mechanical components at any joint position. Any contact point must be resolved before operation. Use the heat gun at low setting (40°C) to carefully relief-form any tight flex points on non-structural decorative panels only.

WARNING // DO NOT FORCE

All panels are zero-tolerance fitted to your specific platform. If a panel does not engage cleanly, stop and diagnose alignment before applying any additional force. Forced installation will fracture the mounting clip system and void all quality guarantees.

4.0 // Panel Removal

To remove panels, use the plastic trim tool at designated pry points marked on the inner panel face. Work progressively around the panel perimeter — never pry from a single point. Reverse the installation sequence (extremities first, torso last). Panels are designed for repeated removal and reinstallation without clip degradation.
